Timi Moni
Timi is a former player for the Philadelphia Phillies organization and current certified MLB Scout. He specializes in baseball instruction hitting and outfield.
Timi's impressive baseball career began as a four-year varsity baseball player for the legendary Bobby Howard coached program (baseball state champions: 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000) at Columbus (Ga.) High School. An avid outfielder and base runner, Timi's skills proved instrumental during his senior (2000) year when CHS won the state championship with a 36-3 record.
After high school graduation, Timi represented Team Georgia in the Sunbelt Classic and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, which he deferred to accept a full scholarship to start for the nationally ranked baseball team at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Ga. In fall 2002, Timi transferred to Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta, Ga., where he led the team in stolen bases (40).
Timi started his professional career in 2002 where he started for the Gulf Coast League Champions. He played for the New York-Penn League Batavia (NY) Muckdogs for a half season before he was called up to start for the Single A Lakewood (NJ) BlueClaws. He played the entire next season with the BlueClaws where he set the team record for most RBIs during a single game (six) when he batted four-for-four with a grand slam and was shortly promoted to High Class A Clearwater Threashers.
Timi's former teammates includes former Phillies Rookie of the Year (2005) and League MVP (2006) Ryan Howard, Astros starting outfielder Michael Bourn, and Phillies leftie/15-game winner (2007) Cole Hamels, Nick Markakis, Callix Crabbe, Reggie Abercormbie: hes also played against many of todays top names in the major leagues.
